Fleet week
Blue Angels comes in for another turn over the thousands of spectators during Fleet week.
Säve TWR
As seen from Alleby. TWY Y is visible along with the SAR Helicopter base and one of the entrances to the mountain hangars.
Evening in the TWR
Two of three positions are manned this evening.
Morning at the field
22/04 are free, main RWY 01/19 and the west apron remains swept in by the shallow fog. TWR just opened and there's still time to make some coffe and get ready, when that fog cleares all single engined props getting ready will be visible.
Memorial
Carved into the mountain side not far from the entrance to the F9 wing.
Approach lights
Lights on 100%, a couple of them seems to be in need of replacement.
Old school display
Itami still used these cool rotating departure boards! It's always hard to look at one of these without starting to dream away to different destinations. I wish more airports choosed to keep classic equipment like this instead of changing to TV-screens.
Everett tower
Mount Rainier visible in the distance in this morning scene.
Over Kara sea
Over the vast area of frozen water during a very northerly crossing of Russia, soon we will enter Norwegian airspace from the North East.
Over Innsbruck
High above beautiful Innsbruck. Hard to believe there are so many mountains down there!
Over the mountains
Crossing the Alps as we head south towards the Mediterranean.
Over German fields
Banking out of Munich, heading for the Alps.
Small airfield
The Kingair looks like a widebody at the small Hassfurt airfield. Soon it's time for the day's second return flight to Gothenburg.
On the visual
In the turn for a super short base leg, soon we are down on runway 19.
Final for 19
The radio shows the evidence of us having been transferred from Gothenburg approach 124.2 to Säve tower 119.050. Soon we are touching down on runway 19.
Dawn between GOT and ARN
Some light is slowly becoming visible as we are about to descend down towards Arlanda.
Above Greenland
I for sure had a sore neck after this trip, spending most of it looking out over the beautiful views of the frozen North Atlantic. We are just about to fly over the inland of Greenland, still the coast is visible with all the ice bergs.
Chased by the shadow
Surfing high above the cloud layer on our way out of the busy London airspace, next stop Seattle!
Kloten departure
Climbing away from runway 32, setting a course for Gothenburg.
Colorful winglet
Avoiding some Italian build ups on our way to Zurich.
In Russian airspace
The built in shading mechanism in the 787 windows really disturbed the photography. However, here's one that turned out pretty good. Captured somewhere over the eastern parts of Russia while enroute between Dusseldorf and Tokyo!
Leaving Östersund
Leaving winter wonderland, the airfield is visible in the left while Östersund city can be seen below the winglet.
Over the city
Passing the city of Östersund with some CB's lurking in the background. Maybe a half a minute remains until touchdown at runway 30.
Barely over the horizon
The sun is weak as we passes somewhere close to Greenland on a winters day. Onboard SK903 ARN-EWR.
Alle Viking
Visiting the friendly crew after a domestic trip from Landvetter.
Time to descend
FL100 is set in the autopilot, soon we will reach the Top of Descend where the autopilot will initiate the descend.
Cross the pond
Two hours or so in to our eastbound crossing of the North Atlantic onboard the MD-11
Big flightdeck
Another flight completed after a really early morning arrival into a rainy Amsterdam.
Waiting at the gate
'Marie Curie' sits at the Newark ramp, soon she will fly us over the Atlantic to Amsterdam.
Icy window
We have completed our trans Atlantic crossing and are on our way over American continent towards EWR
